What is bulk scheduling?

Bulk scheduling is the process of preparing and scheduling many social media posts at once, rather than creating and publishing each one individually.

Bulk scheduling saves a lot of time. Instead of stopping your work every day to post, you can set aside one session to plan a week or a month of content. This helps you stay consistent, even during busy seasons or holidays.

Most scheduling tools let you upload a list of posts, often from a spreadsheet file, with captions, links, images and publish times. The tool then sends each post to the right network at the right moment. Some networks have their own basic scheduling, but a separate tool is usually needed to schedule across many networks together.

Bulk schedule content that is not time-sensitive, such as tips, product highlights and evergreen posts. Leave space in your calendar for timely updates and replies. Check scheduled posts before they go out in case news or events make any of them feel out of place.

Example

A small skincare brand fills a spreadsheet with a month of product tips on Sunday afternoon and uploads it to schedule every post at once.
