PilotPost works as an app on your phone: it opens full screen from your home screen, with a menu at the bottom for Calendar, Community, New post and Insights. There's nothing to download from an app store.
Install on iPhone or iPad
- Open pilotpost.social in Safari and log in.
- Tap the Share button (the square with an arrow pointing up).
- Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen, then Add.
The PilotPost icon now appears on your home screen. Open the app from there.
Install on Android
- Open pilotpost.social in Chrome and log in.
- Tap Install the app on the Phone app page (in the menu), or tap Chrome's ⋮ menu → Install app.
Turn on notifications
- In the app, open the menu (More at the bottom on a phone) and tap Phone app.
- Tap Turn on notifications and allow them when your phone asks.
You'll get an alert when:
- a post fails and needs your attention,
- a post needs to be published by hand,
- someone in your team sends a post for approval (for owners, admins and editors).
On iPhone, notifications only work in the installed app (iOS 16.4 or newer), so install it first and turn them on from the app. Notifications are set per device: turn them on on each phone or computer you use.
Turn notifications off
Open Phone app and tap Turn off notifications, or switch them off for PilotPost in your phone's settings.
