What is content curation?
Content curation is the practice of finding, selecting and sharing useful content created by others, usually with your own comment, to inform or entertain your audience.
You do not have to create every post from scratch. Curating good articles, videos and posts from others helps you share value with your audience, keeps your feeds active and shows that you know your field. It can also build goodwill with the people you feature.
Curation can take the form of reposts, quote posts, shared links, Stories that feature other accounts, or roundups of helpful resources. On networks like X, Bluesky, Threads and LinkedIn, adding your own short take turns a simple share into a useful post. On Instagram, sharing others' content usually means resharing to Stories or asking permission to repost.
Only share content from sources you trust, and always credit the original creator. Add your own view so followers know why it matters. Keep a balance so curated posts support, rather than replace, your own content.
Example
An accountant shares a helpful tax-tips article each week on LinkedIn, adding a short note about which tip small-business clients should check first.
