What is pinned post?

A pinned post is a post that you fix to the top of your profile or a group so it stays visible first, no matter what you post later.

A pinned post works like a welcome sign. New visitors often check your profile before deciding to follow, and the pinned post is the first thing they see. It is a simple way to highlight your best content, a current offer or key information.

X, Threads, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Bluesky and Telegram all let you pin content, though the number of posts you can pin and where they appear differ by network. Pinned posts usually show a small pin icon. You can unpin or replace them whenever you like.

Pin something that tells newcomers who you are and what to do next, such as a short introduction, a popular post or an active promotion. Update it when offers end so the information never looks stale. Review it every few months to make sure it still reflects your business.

Example

A dog trainer pins a short video introducing her services and how to book a first session at the top of her profile.
