What is AI-generated content?

AI-generated content is text, images, video or audio created fully or partly by artificial intelligence tools, often from a short written prompt or instruction.

AI tools can save small teams a lot of time. They can draft captions, suggest post ideas, turn a long article into short posts, or create simple images. Used well, they help you keep a steady posting rhythm without spending hours staring at a blank screen.

Most networks allow AI-assisted content, but several now ask you to label realistic AI images or video so viewers are not misled. Rules differ by network and change over time, so check each platform's current guidance. Audiences also tend to notice generic, robotic writing, which can hurt trust.

Treat AI output as a first draft, not a finished post. Add your own details, opinions and real photos, check every fact, and edit the wording so it sounds like your brand. Keep humans in charge of anything sensitive, such as customer complaints or health and money topics.

Example

A small candle shop uses an AI tool to draft five caption ideas for a new scent, then rewrites the best one in its own friendly voice.
