What is posting queue?
A posting queue is a list of scheduled social media posts that publish automatically, one after another, at preset times you choose in advance.
A queue takes the daily pressure off social media. Instead of deciding what to post every morning, you fill the queue when you have time and let it run. This helps you post consistently, even during busy weeks or holidays.
Most scheduling tools let you set regular time slots for each network, such as weekdays at noon. When you add a post to the queue, it drops into the next open slot. You can reorder, edit or pause posts before they go out. Some networks also offer basic scheduling of their own, but a shared queue covers many accounts at once.
Set time slots based on when your audience is active. Mix content types in the queue so followers see variety. Check the queue regularly to remove anything that has become outdated or would look insensitive because of current events.
Example
A florist fills her posting queue every Sunday evening with a week of arrangement photos, tips and offers.
