What is Collab post?
A collab post is an Instagram feature that lets two or more accounts co-author one post or Reel, so it appears on each account's profile and reaches all their followers.
Collab posts are a simple way to share audiences. Instead of each account posting separately, one post appears on both profiles and combines the likes, comments and views. This can help small businesses and creators reach new people who already trust their partner.
On Instagram, the person creating the post invites a collaborator when publishing. Once the invite is accepted, both account names appear at the top of the post and it shows up on both profiles and in both sets of followers' feeds. Some other networks offer similar co-posting features under different names.
Pick partners whose audience would genuinely enjoy your content, such as a nearby shop or a creator in a related field. Agree on the content and caption before posting. If the collaboration is paid, follow the network's rules on disclosing paid partnerships.
Example
A local café and a neighboring bakery publish a collab post announcing a joint pastry-and-coffee deal, which appears on both of their profiles.
