You can schedule TikTok posts from a PC or Mac using TikTok Studio in your web browser: upload your video, turn on the schedule option and pick a date and time, up to 10 days ahead. If you also post the same video to Instagram, YouTube or other networks, a multi-network scheduler lets you plan everything from one calendar instead. This guide covers both, plus a specs checklist and fixes for common problems.

## Key takeaways

- TikTok's own scheduler is on the web, in TikTok Studio. TikTok says you can schedule posts up to 10 days in advance.
- You may need a Business or Creator account to see the scheduling option. Switch in your account settings if it is missing.
- TikTok does not let you edit a scheduled post. To change it, delete it and upload again.
- A third-party scheduler is useful if you post to several networks or want to plan more than 10 days out.
- Upload vertical 9:16 video at 1080 × 1920 for the best result.

## Option 1: Schedule in TikTok Studio on the web

TikTok introduced its web scheduler in 2021, and it now lives in TikTok Studio, the creator dashboard you reach at tiktok.com on a computer. At the time of writing, the steps are:

1. **Log in** at tiktok.com in Chrome, Edge, Safari or Firefox.
2. **Open TikTok Studio** from your profile menu, or go straight to the upload page.
3. **Upload your video.** Drag and drop the file or select it from your computer.
4. **Add the details.** Write your caption and hashtags, choose a cover, set who can watch, and decide whether to allow comments, Duets and Stitches.
5. **Turn on scheduling.** Find the "When to post" or schedule setting, and choose to schedule rather than post now.
6. **Pick a date and time.** TikTok uses your computer's time zone.
7. **Confirm.** The post moves to your scheduled list, and you can see it in TikTok Studio.

TikTok's own announcement of the feature said you can schedule from at least 15 minutes to up to 10 days in advance. Menu labels change as TikTok updates Studio, so if a step looks different, look for the equivalent option.

### Limits to know about

- **10-day window.** You cannot plan a month of TikToks in one sitting with the native tool.
- **No editing after scheduling.** TikTok says you cannot change the video, caption or time of a scheduled post. Delete it and upload it again instead.
- **Account type.** TikTok has said desktop scheduling needs a Business account; some help pages also mention Creator accounts. If you do not see the option, check your account type under **Settings and privacy > Account**.
- **TikTok only.** Each post is scheduled separately, for one account, and only to TikTok.

For a creator posting only to TikTok a few times a week, the native tool is enough.

## Option 2: Use a scheduler for TikTok and other networks

Most businesses do not post only to TikTok. The same vertical video often goes to Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and Facebook too. Scheduling each one in its own app takes time and makes it hard to see the whole week.

With a multi-network scheduler you upload once, choose the networks, adjust each caption and pick the times. For example, in [PilotPost](/) (our product) you write a post once and publish it to TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, Threads, Pinterest, Bluesky and Telegram from one calendar. AI can draft captions and hashtags, and you can manage posts from the web or the iOS and Android apps. Plans start from €19 a month with a 7-day free trial; there is more on our [TikTok page](/tiktok).

Whatever tool you choose, check that it publishes directly to TikTok in your region, and test it with one real video during the trial.

## TikTok video specs checklist

Getting the file right before you schedule prevents most failed uploads. Check:

| Item | Recommendation |
|---|---|
| Aspect ratio | 9:16 (vertical) |
| Resolution | 1080 × 1920 pixels; higher resolutions are scaled down |
| File type | MP4 or MOV |
| Length | Keep most posts short; TikTok's help centre has said uploads can be up to 60 minutes, but limits can vary by account and change over time |
| Safe zones | Keep text and faces away from the bottom and right edges, where the caption and buttons sit |
| Cover | Choose a clear frame or upload a cover with a readable title |
| Sound | Use music you have the rights to for business accounts; commercial accounts may have a restricted music library |
| Captions | On-screen captions help people watching without sound |

A few practical points:

- **Export from your editor at 1080p.** 4K files are larger, take longer to upload and are scaled down anyway.
- **Check the first second.** People decide quickly whether to keep watching, so start with movement or a clear hook.
- **Name files clearly.** "2026-11-10-tiktok-store-tour.mp4" is easier to find than "IMG_4821.mov" when you batch a week.

## Troubleshooting

### I cannot see the schedule option

Check that you are logged in on a computer, not the mobile app. Then check your account type: switch to a Business account in **Settings and privacy > Account** if needed. Clearing your browser cache or trying another browser can also help.

### The upload is stuck or fails

Large files on a slow connection often time out. Export at 1080p rather than 4K, check your connection, and try again. Make sure the file is MP4 or MOV.

### The post went out at the wrong time

TikTok uses your computer's time zone. If you are travelling or your computer's clock is set to another region, scheduled times can shift. Check the time zone before scheduling.

### I need to change a scheduled post

TikTok does not allow edits to scheduled posts. Delete the scheduled post in TikTok Studio, make your changes and schedule it again.

### My scheduled post did not appear

Look in TikTok Studio for the post's status and any notification from TikTok. Posts can be held back if they break community guidelines or use restricted music. If you use a third-party scheduler, check it for an error message and reconnect your TikTok account if prompted.
